Strauss-Kahn: Sic transit gloria mundi….

For those you didn’t experienced Latin in school Sic transit gloria mundi means “Thus passes the glory of the world” or else “wordly things are fleeting’. And here ‘fleets’ Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the once most economically powerful man in the planet, who was holding the keys to countries economies and supported or not vital bailouts. Here he ‘fleets’ tired, haggard and stony-faced and, worst of all, handcuffed escorted by police, like a common criminal.  First to the forensic, then before the judge. Humiliated before the world cameras and a greedy audience that wants to know juicy details.

 

 

 

DSK will remain in prison until the next Grand-Jury convenes on May 20th.

 He is charged with attempted rape, sex abuse, a criminal sex act, unlawful imprisonment and forcible touching. The top count is punishable by five to 25 years in prison.
 

 

Dominique Strauss-Kahn may be cleared of charges and go free as man found ‘not guilty’. But his image has been eternally destroyed. His carreer in IMF is finished, the political as well. Sic transit gloria mundi, indeed….
