Several hundreds employees at the three Cypriot banks subsidiaries in Greece staged a protest on Thursday morning outside the Finance ministry. Holding banners and shouted slogan, the employees demanded a meeting with minister Yiannis Stournaras.
With the future of Cypriot banks in uncertainty, employees worry about work places loss in a country where unemployment has reached 26%.
On Wednesday, Stournaras said Greece had a Plan B for the Cypriot bank branches in Greece, however he refrained from elaborating.

5,000 employees work in the 318 branches of Cypriot subsidiaries in Greece, Bank of Cyprus, Cyprus Popular Bank and Hellenic Bank.
On Tuesday morning rumors claimed that the Plan B worked out by the Cypriot government contained also a plan to close down Cyprus Popular Bank. This claim was dismissed later by CPB. The bank has 2,500 employees.
European Central Bank warned today, that it will supply Cypriot banks with liquidity until Monday, March 25th 2013.
