Is it true? Can this be true? That there is shortage of paper and adhesive tape for the issue of Identity Cards? According to zougla.gr, Greek police headquarters sent a memo to all police stations saying that they will have to wait until March with the issue of ID cards, due to material shortages.
The memo reads:
” Until the end of February, there is no money for the supply of paper and adhesive tape for issuing identity cards. New supplies are due a month later and but until the supplies are distributed to police stations we are not in position to issue new IDs.”
The memo, urges the security departments to issue IDs only if absolutely necessary and a real great need”. (zougla.gr)
PS In Greece of strict austerity and tight economic policing, I think it would be enough to identify ourselves with our income declaration 🙂
