A teacher in amok, students in shock. Ateacher in a high school class went out of control and started to cut his arms, from the wrist to the elbow, with a paper cutter in front of screaming children in the classroom. Amid students’ screams and cries, the teacher spread the blood all over his face.
Teachers from other classrooms heard the screams and calls for help and rushed to the horror classroom.
The students were removed from the classroom and the teacher was transferred to a nearby hospital.
According to local media citing students’ testimonies, the teacher went out of control when two children refused to leave the classroom. They apparently did some fuss and the teacher ordered them to leave the class.
The incident occurred on Thursday in a high school in Patras, in Peloponnese.
“The teacher had psychological problems,” media report and wonder how could he still be on duty when his problem was allegedly known.
He was teaching English.
