It doesn’t really matter and it certainly makes no difference if the skeleton found in the ancient tomb of Amphipolis belongs to a man or a woman. Greeks manage to reconstructs his main features in a sketch. According to daily TA NEA, the famous dead – whether he likes it or not – is of average ancient Greek height, has white skin and brown or brown-reddish hair. The scenario of the dead’s basic characteristics has been featured by Manolis Papagrigorakis, Professor at the Dentistry Department of the Athens University.
“The dead of Amphipolis is 1.65m tall, has white skin and brown hair.”
“These features are based on archaeologists’ scenarios about the area and the people living there, Papagrigorakis told TA NEA.
Too bad, that the pelvic bones of the skeleton have been found broken and the archaeologists could not say immediately if the famous dead was a man or a woman… As a patriarch society we are, of course, we make a sketch of a male famous dead….
The skeleton was found half inside, half outside a “grave of limestone”, 2.3m long and 0.54m wide. Greek archaeologists responsible for the excavation estimate that the famous dead was put in a wooden coffin in the limestone grave.
PS the sketch and the basic features of the famous dead have disappointed the thousands of Greeks who believed the real dead was an alien with delicate body structure but with an extreme height of at least 2.25m.
“have disappointed the thousands of Greeks who believed the real dead was an alien”
WTF????
absurd!
