Athens SOS: Charity Clinic MKIE in urgent need of donations for infants

The Metropolitan Community Clinic in Athens, a charity providing uninsured patients and people without any resources with medical care, has a urgent need of donations for infants. In its latest call for donations the charity clinic needs: baby diapers (no 3, 4 and 5).

Each month, the clinic helps approximately 100 infants and children (up to 3 years old) and it already has significant shortcomings with the effect that it is not able to meet its needs.

The Metropolitan Social Clinic operates with the support of the Municipality of Argyroypolis, from December 2011 until today.

In the three years of operation, the clinic has performed more than 37,000 medical checks and consultations to patients from all over the Attica Prefecture and beyond.

The MKIE at Helliniko operates with 250 volunteers offering their services pro bono and the people’s donations.

It does not accept monetary donations, only donations of goods and services.

Patients seeking medical care come from the vulnerable groups of the society, patients without social security insurance, without work and without any resources.
