Molotov cocktails and fire bombs. Stones and wooden sticks. Anarchists or so-called ‘antiauthotirarians’ with hoods have launched an attack against riot police squads in down town Athens.
Τhe attacks were expected on this Sunday, the 7, Anniversary of the murder of teenager boy, Alexis Griogoropoulos by a police special guard. For this reason, more than 5,000 policemen were deployed in the center of the Greek capital, apparently to limit the “incidents” within the Exarchia district of Athens near Omonoia.
According to Greek media, some 500 anarchists have been delivering the attacks that started short after 7 o’ clock after the afternoon protest march.
Police has detained some 20 people so far, 4 have been arrested.

Some Greeks do not seem to understand why police allowed anarchists to “burn Athens” since they knew that the “incidents” will take place.
