Shops, public services and banks will remain close from Sunday to Tuesday as the holiday of May st has been transferred to May 3rd. As we all know, May 1st is not a holiday but a strike day. Below the schedule:
April 29: shops, supermarkets 1 pm – 7 pm On Good Friday morning, Greeks are supposed to go to the Church and attend the ceremony of Jesus being taken down from the Cross and buried in the Grave which is at 12 o’clock noon.
April 30: shops 9 am – 3 pm supermarkets until 7 pm
May 1st – May 3rd: all shops and supermarkets will be closed
The country will return back to normal on Wednesday, May 4th 2016.
