With the wind, hot and dry blowing from the south-west, Tuesday was one of the hottest days in Athens. 41° Celsius at 5 pm in the shadow. Incredible. the lucky ones of us closed balcony doors and windows and turned the A/C on: 25 degrees. Perfect.
The unlucky ones, without A/C or Fan, but a fur around their body seek other ways to cool themselves.
A goat and a sheep sought shelter from the heat in the cool corridors of a local hospital. In Amaliada, in Peloponnese, one of the other Greek areas that have been “boiling” too since last Friday.
“Reading the signs for the right lab”
Doctor Vaggelis Dimitropoulos who uploaded the pictures on Facebook noted: “The hospital turned into a hosting place due to heat wave.”
Please, put a bowl with fresh water for the strays!
