Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and family landed with a private jet on the island of Santorini on Tuesday. “There were strong security measures at the airport,” local website NeaSantorinis.gr notes in its exclusive report. The original plan was that the Blairs travel per ship further to the rather modest but equally beautiful island of Ios. However, the plan was changed, the Blair spent the whole day on Santorini and will fly to Ios together with former Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou – on a helicopter.
The ex Greek PM has reportedly invited the Blairs for joint summer vacations. Ios has always been the favorite island for Papandreou. The invitation has been jointly sent also by the ex General Secretary of Tourism and mayor of Ios.
“It is not known at which hotel the Blairs will stay and for how long,” local media report. Its is also not known whether the Blairs came with all their four children.
PS I only hope that the Greek taxpayers and the local community of Ios will not have to come up for the Blairs Bed & Breakfast, lunches and dinners as well as for the security measures for the former British Prime Minister.

Papandreou and Blair both make me inclined to vomit. They represent the worst of the political class — arrogant, incompetent, and vain. Yet they have money for a private jet, whereas refugees need to buy inflatable mattresses to cross the Aegean.

The only hotel where this man should be in is in some prison somewhere. He and his buddy GWB are responsible for the mess that the world is in now. This megalomanic man wrote some vision of a ‘new world order’ and sent it to Bush. He did that because he is full of himself. And then they made him peace envoy for the ME!
So the criminal who helped slaughter one million Iraqis will meet the other one who helped enslave an entire country to the 4th Reich. Indeed they have much in common and they deserve each other!
