Workers at Greece’ Train company Hellenic Railways (OSE) have announced to launch rolling work stoppages as of July 11th and these work stoppages will culminate in a 24-hour strike on July 20th 2018. The train workers mobilization will affect all schedules of TrainOSE, the Proastiakos as well as the Metro to/from Athens Airport.
Work stoppages schedule
No operation in the time zones 05:00-08:00 a.m., 01:00-04:00 p.m. and 09:00 p.m. to 00:00 midnight on the following days:
Wednesday, July 11 – Friday, July 13 – Monday, July 16 – Wednesday, July 18
The 24-hour strike will take place on Friday, July 20th.
On the days of work stoppages and the 24h strike, the Metro will stop at <Doukissis Plakentias> station.
Take into consideration that public transport means usually withdraw from traffic about one hour before the work stoppage and are in full operation again one hour after the stoppage ends.
The work stoppages and the 24h strike aim to protest privatizations and lack of collective labor agreements.
