E-Tickets for Greece’s archaeological sites and museums

Tired of waiting line under the boiling sun for a ticket to Acropolis or Knossos? Here is the solution! The Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports announced on Thursday ( 19. July 2018) the launching of an online platform where visitors can obtain e-tickets online for selected archaeological sites, monuments and museums.

The e-tickets  service allows admission to archaeological sites, museums and monuments in Athens and Attica, Crete and Peloponnese.

With a few easy steps, visitors can purchase their admission tickets.

You select the site or museum you wish to visit and the date of your visit and the time frame, the number of tickets you need and “complete your purchase through a secure banking environment,” the online platform reads.

You can purchase single-use tickets giving access to a specific site or museum or, where provided, combined tickets for use in several sites and museums but also tickets at reduced price if you are entitled to do so.

According to a Culture Ministry statement, entrance tickets should only be bought online or at the official ticket offices or, in case of groups, through licensed travel and tourist agencies.

All you need is to go to etickets.tap.gr and click on “Visitors”.

The e-tickets service is available in Greek and English.

The service is operated by the Archaeological Resources Fund of the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports.
