Erdogan threatens “no steps in Cyprus and Aegean without Turkey’s permission”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan fired new salvos and threatened Greece and Cyprus to no proceed with energy drilling in the Aegean and the Mediterranean Sea.

“Those who try to ignore us in Cyprus and the Aegean Sea are endangering their own presence,” he said during a speech at the Turkish Palriament in Ankara.

“I would like to state once again that no step can be taken at Cyprus and Aegean in spite of Turkey. Our choice in Cyprus and the Aegean, as in all our subjects, favors the win-win concept,” Erdogan said.

He added “those who lead the issue into a conflict or a crisis will give account to their own people first.”

The Turkish President seems to forget that without solution in Cyprus, where Turkey illegally occupies the North of the state, there can only be a lose-lose situation for Ankara not only in energy but also in many other issues.
