Acropolis in Anti-Imperialist mood: Communist KKE banner against Prespes deal

Members of the Greek communist party KKE climbed to Acropolis early morning Thursday and hanged a banner against the Prespes Agreement that will be voted and ratified later today.

The banner had messages against the Agreement both in Greek and English.

The KKE said that the Prespes Agreement serves the plans of the Untied States, the NATO and the European Union.

A notorious “enemy” against the NATO, the EU and the US, the KKE banner says “YES to friendship and solidarity of the peoples.”

The communist party is organizing protest meetings at 6 pm in Athens as well as in Thessaloniki and Larissa.

As it is not only the KKE against the Agreement, hundreds of police officers will be deployed around the Greek Parliament in Syntagma later on Thursday, to protect the institution from ‘patriotic’ protesters in outrage.
