The pilot of a single engine aircraft was slightly injured during an emergency landing at a rural road off the Egnatia highway near Grevena, West Macedonia, short before 9 o’ clock on Thursday morning. Slightly injured are also the two passenger on board of the Cessna.
The Cessna with two passengers onboard was flying from the island of Corfu to Thessaloniki.

The pilot had reportedly a wound on the head, one passenger a broken leg and the third passenger was slightly injured. The injuries are not considered as serious, they currently receive treatment at the hospital of Grevena.
“We lost the engine on air and we made an emergency landing,” the pilot said a few minutes after the crash.
When the technical problem occurred, the pilot decided for emergency landing.
However, the aircraft reportedly hit on a electricity post, flew under the power loaded cables and overturned.
Fire fighters immediately rushed to the spot and used foam in order to limit fuel leakage.
The Cessna is registered at the Air Club of Corfu.
