Greece’s Civil Protections has issued a warning of “very high risk” of forest and wild fires for several regions and for Wednesday, August 28, 2019.
Regions at very high risk of fires are the following:
• Attica, Viotia, Evia, Skyros, Evros, Samothraki, Limnos, Lesvos, Argolida, Corinth, Achaia and Ileia.
Orange marks “very high risk” and Yellow “high risk.”
Temperatures up to 38 degrees Celsius and prolonged dryness create the conditions for forest and wild fires.
