Two mothers make their dreams come true: they pass the University exams

Two mothers of four and two children respectively managed to make their dreams come true even with some years delay. They successfully participated in the Panhellenic University exams and paved the way to achieve their dream profession: Occupational Therapy and Medicine.

44-year-old Sotiria Tsitsari-Triantafyllou, from Kozani hit the highest score in the Department of Occupational Therary at the University of Ptolemaida in West Macedonia.

She resumed her preparation studies in the technical lyceum in order to accomplish what she could not do in her youth.

She choose the specific university in Ptolemaida in order to be close to her children. Two of them are students at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, while her third child is preparing for University exams next year. Her youngest child is 10 years old.

She hit a score of 19,125 points.

The second mother, 47-year-old Smaragda Liatsikou managed also to make her dream come true and passed exams with a score that will allow her to study Medicine.

The mother of two works as a nurse assistant at a private clinic in the city of Volos, Central Greece.

“When I saw the results, I cried for two hours,” she told local media adding that she studied for the exams everywhere possible. “My colleagues at the clinic would hold the books and I would say everything by heart. I am deeply touched,” she said.

She hit a score of 19,400 points.

She added that dream can come true with hard work and in her own case with continuous studying.
