EX PASOK Minister files lawsuits against prosecutors investigating Novartis

Former PASOK Minister and current KINAL MP, Andreas Loverdos, has filed lawsuits against the Supreme Court prosecutors investigating the Novartis bribery scandal.

Early Monday morning, Loverdos filed the lawsuits against Corruption Prosecutor, Eleni Touloupaki, and two assistant prosecutors over their handling of the Novartis case.

He accuses the judicial official of “abuse of power” and “breach of duty” over their handling of the case.

He refers to unnamed protected witnesses who had alleged that Loverdos and other politicians had received kickback by the Swiss pharmaceutical company.

In his lawsuits, the former minister claims that the judicial officials failed to include evidence of his innocence that he had provided during the investigation and sent the file to the Parliament without the evidence.

Loverdos and other politicians have been claiming that the “Novertis bribery scandal” was fabricated by the SYRIZA government against its political opponents.

In his lawsuits, Loverdo9s made a special reference to the role of of former, SYRIZA Deputy Minister of Justice who allegedly “moved the strings” in the case.

The Minister had the code name “Rasputin.”
