Fifteen new confirmed cases and one more death remind Greeks that despite the lifting of the lockdown restrictions the coronavirus is still here.
Health authorities announced on Thursday evening, 15 new cases in the last 48 hours, that increased the total number of infections to 2,952. A little over half of the infected, 55.2% are men.
One more death brought the death toll to 180.
Average age of the deceased was 76.
9 patients are intubated in hospitals Intensive Care Units. 77.8 of them are men.
Of the total of 2,952 cases, 652 (22.1%) are related to travel abroad, 1702 (57.7%) are related to already known case in Greece. The rest of the cases are not related to travel or other or are still under investigation.
The average age of infected people is 48 years (range 0 to 102 years), while the average age of deaths is 77 years (range 35 to 102 years).
A refugee camp in Nea Kavala, north-eastern Greece, was placed under quarantine on Thursday after a pregnant woman was tested positive for Covid-19.
Local authorities have reportedly closed six schools in the area where refugee children attend classes.
