19 new confirmed coronavirus cases and one more death have been recorded in the last 24 hours, Greek health authorities announced on Saturday evening. Death toll has reached 190 and total infections 3,256.
Among the 19 new cases are 9 “imported”, that is 7 infections were detected in passengers who arrived to Greece per flight and 2 to new arrivals at Promachonas border crossing with Bulgaria.
12 of the new cases are located in northeastern Greece: 5 in Xanthi , 3 in the municipality of Myki and 1 in Echinos currently under quarantine. 1 case is in Pella, western Macedonia and 1 in Athens.
Of the total 3,256 cases, 716 (22%) are related to travel from abroad, 1,822 (56%) are related to an already known case. The rest are not related to travel or another known case or are still under investigation.
9 patients are intubated in hospitals Intensive Care Units. Their average age is 75, among them are 2 women. 100% of the patients have underlying health issues or are over 70 years old.
117 patients have been discharged from the ICUs since the beginning of the outbreak.
With the death of a 72-year-old woman from Echninos on Saturday morning, the number of coronavirus-related deaths reached 190.
Among the deceased were 60 women (31.6%).
The average age of the deceased was 76, the overwhelming majority (100%) had underlying health issues and/or were over 70 years old.

As shown in the impact map (20.06.2020) of confirmed coronavirus infections, “red” areas include Xanthi, Argolida, Larissa, Kozani and Kastoria.
They are followed by Evros, Drama, Evia, Ilia, Achaia, Corinth and Attica.
In contrast, as areas with the least impact are considered the prefectures of Messinia, Serres, Fthiotida, Crete and the Northeast Aegean.
