A total of 1,843 recognized refugees who were provided with documents of free movement in Greece have left the island of Lesvos from June 5 to June 25, officials said on Thursday.
The last 56 of the total boarded a ship to Piraeus on Thursday night. The process will be repeated for more refugees in the next few days.
According to the Migration & Asylum Ministry, the number of migrants applying for asylum who live in the Moria hotspot has dropped to 15,691.
The total number of people awaiting decision on the island of Lesvos total 17,806.
Greece stopped providing accommodation and food to recognized refugees since June 1.
