Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias arrived in Tobruk on Wednesday morning for talks with the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Akila Saleh. The visit with the Libyan opposition was not scheduled.
Citing diplomatic sources, media report that the visit is part of Greece’s “unremitting efforts to actively contribute to the ceasefire and finding a political solution in Libya, in line with the decisions of the United Nations Security Council and the Berlin Summit.
The sources also pointed out that the visit is far from foreign interventions that undermine security and stability in the region and at the same time ignore the interests of the Libyan people.
Foreign Minister Dendias posted about his visit on social media.
#Libya
