The picture was published by the Prime Minister on his Instagram account on Sunday morning.
“@ritawilson and @tomhanks are now proud Greek citizens,” Mitsotakis wrote.
The two couples met on the small island of Antiparos in the central Aegean Sea where Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have a summer house.
Last year, on December 27, President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos honored Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson who has Greek origins with a rare privilege and award: the honorary Greek citizenship for their charitable contribution to the country.
