Twenty minutes of torrential rain on the island of Thassos were enough to flood homes and businesses, to turn roads into rivers. Especially affected by the summer rainstorm are Limenaria and Skala Maries.
The rainstorm broke out in the early morning hours of Thursday, tones of water fell on the island in the north Aegean Sea.
The Fire Service had to evacuate three men and one woman from a car trapped in the rushing waters and pump water from at least seven homes.
Four vehicles and one motorcycle were swept away and ended up in the sea.
