A baby was found in the public park Pedio toy Areos in downtown Athens Thursday noon. The infant was wrapped in a blanket, next to it there was a bag with a few diapers. The baby is a girl and estimated to be 4 to 10 days old.
The baby girl was found by two people in the park who informed the guard. On his part, the guard immediately called the police.
According to Alpha TV, an eyewitness told police that she had seen a woman feeding the baby and that as soon as it fell asleep, the mother disappeared.

The new born seemed to be in good health.
The infant has been taken to the Children’s Hospital, police investigates to identify the mother.
