A young couple was found dead in a car in a closed garage of the man’s home in Piraeus on Tuesday morning.
The car had the engine and air conditioning on, while the young couple did not have any abrasions that would indicate a criminal act.
The bodies were found by the father of the 28-year-old man at 9 o’ clock in the morning. The young man and his 27-year-old partner were inside the vehicle.
Initial information reportedly indicates that they are a 28-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, who were discovered by the man’s father shortly before 9 am on Tuesday in the car unconscious.
The father immediately notified the authorities, police and ambulances rushed to the scene. The bodies were transported to Tzaneio where doctors could only confirm their death.
The causes of death have not been revealed, with police to investigate all possibilities with the most likely scenario to be that they died from asphyxiation. .
An autopsy, toxicology tests and the autopsy of the scene will ultimately clarify whether this was an accident, suicide or even the possibility of a criminal act. However, based on the evidence so far, the prevailing scenario is that the couple died from poisoning due to the fumes they inhaled.
The young man, a lawyer by profession, was living in the apartment building.
