For second consecutive day, the number of daily Covid-19 deaths exceeded one hundred. Health authorities in Greece announced 103 deaths in past 24 hours. New coronavirus cases are 1,498 although the number of tests were almost half than usually due to the weekend.
The number of intubated Covid-19 patients increased again reaching 540. Note that all Covid-19 patients who died were not in ICUs.
Among the latest fatalities is 33-year old woman with underlying health issues. Her condition deteriorated within hours, she died after she was admitted to hospital on Saturday night. Her coronavirus infection was diagnosed post mortem with a rapid test.
By Sunday, total cases have reached 91,619 and death toll 1,630.
In the last two days 211 covid-patients died, that is as many as from the pandemic outbreak in February until August.
20 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from ICUs in the past 24 hours.

According to the official daily bulletin on Sunday, 4810(5.3%) of the total coronavirus cases are related to travel abroad and 23403 (25.5%) are related to already known infection case.
The remaining infections are whiteout known source.
53.4% of the infected are men.
The number of intubated patients in ICUs increased to 540 !!! from 522 a day earlier. Their average age is 65, among them are 150 women. 81.9% have underlying health problems or are aged over 70.
Among the intubated are two aged 18-39 and 6 aged 40-64.
470 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
103 more deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 1630. Of the deceased 647 were women. The average age of the deceased was 80 and 97% of the deceased had an underlying condition or/and was over 70 years old.
Among the latest fatalities are two people aged 18-39 and 11 aged 40-64.

Tests in the last 24 hours: 12,698 with 11.8% of them positive. A good, normal number with less reason for concerns is when positive is below 2%.
