Greece’s health authorities announced on Tuesday, 101 deaths in the last 24 hours and 2135 new coronavirus cases. The number of intubated Covid-19 patients has increased to 562, a new record.
The total cases have reached 93,137 and death toll 1,815.
Shipping Minister Giannis Plakiotakis has been infected with Covid-19 a test has confirmed. He announced on social media that he had mild symptoms and is in isolation at home. After Education Minister, Plakiotakis is the second in the Greek government contracting the virus.

According to the official daily bulletin on Τuesday, 4840(5.1%) of the total coronavirus cases are related to travel abroad and 24679 (25.9%) are related to already known infection case.
The remaining infections are without known source.
53.3% of the infected are men.
The number of intubated patients in ICUs increased to 562 !!! from 549 a day earlier. Their average age is 65, among them are 161 women. 82% have underlying health problems or are aged over 70.
490 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
101 more deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 1815. Of the deceased 721 were women. The average age of the deceased was 80 and 97.1% of the deceased had an underlying condition or/and was over 70 years old.

Tests in the last 24 hours: 22,166 with 9.63% of them positive. A good, normal number with less reason for concerns is when positive is below 2%.
