Greece’s National Meteorological Service has issued a warning of a bad weather front that will bring intensive rainfalls, storms in coastal areas, locally accompanied by hailstorms, stormy winds and heavy snowfalls.
The bad weather front is forecast to strike the country as of Sunday evening, January 3, and last until, Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

Weakening of the weather phenomena expected as of Monday afternoon.
Monday, Jan 4
As of morning hours: Central Greece, the Peloponnese, Evia and the Sporades Islands. Weakening of the phenomena in the afternoon hours and with intervals in Central Macedonia.
As of afternoon: east Sterea, including Attica, east Macedonia, Evia, Sporades, temporarily Thessaly, Thrace, islands of the North Aegean Sea. Weakening of phenomena late Monday night.
Evening hours: islands of the East Aegean and north Cyclades.
Tuesday, Jan 5
Morning hours: islands in East Aegean and by noon also the Dodecanese.

Monday, Jan 4: South winds up to 7-8 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea; possible temporarily up to 9 B in the North Aegean with gradual weakening from the night.
