A 98-year-old Holocaust survivor was the first resident of a nursing home in Thessaloniki to be vaccinated against Covid-19. Mrs Zana, is a survivor of the death camp in Auschwitz. she resides in Saoul Modiano Nursing Home.
The president of National Health Organization (EODY) Panagiotis Arkoumaneas was also present during the vaccinations and took a picture.

Vaccination of residents in nursing homes in the city in northern Greece started on Tuesday.
Nursing home vaccinations began in Athens on Monday. Mrs Despoina,a 95-year-old resident, was the first to get the jab.
