Greece’s Education Ministry has confirmed on Thursday that kindergartens, elementary and special education schools will reopen on Monday, January 11. There has been no change in the ministry’s decision to reopen these facilities, the ministry stressed.
It noted that the decision was made based on the recommendations of the expert committee. A circular has already been issued instructing teachers serving in these schools to report for duty on Friday, January 8.
Secondary education, gymnasiums and high schools throughout the country will resume online classes starting on Friday.
There was confusion earlier today, when deputy government spokesperson Aristotelian Peloni said the reopening of primary schools on Jan 11 was “not given.”
Media reported early evening that the health experts committee had given the green light pupils to return to schools.
You open the schools and you will reap what you sow!!
