A prosecutor in Thessaloniki has ordered a preliminary investigation into allegations that an illegal adoption ring has been operating in Albania and Greece. The allegations arose after the arrest of a 59-year-old man for the double murder of two sisters in Tirana on New Year’s Eve.
The man had coerced them to get pregnant, give birth in Greek maternity clinics and had the babies sold, the sisters’ relatives told media.
Speaking to Albanian Top Channel TV, the victims’ sister accused the man of having taken the sisters to Thessaloniki, had them worked as prostitutes. At the same time, he left them pregnant and forced them to sell their babies.

The Greek investigation will examine the specific allegations of illegal adoptions and whether there is an organized ring involved.
According to media reports, more than 10 children were born in Greek maternity hospitals and sold for a fee with the help of a lawyer who is apparently no longer alive.
The suspect told investigators in Albania that the motive for the killings was his concern that the two sisters would reveal his activities to authorities.
Armed with a kalashnikov, the man entered the two sisters’ apartment on New Year’s Eve and killed them.

Can someone please explain to me that having a Flat in Athens, each time I visit from the UK I have to pay £130 for a PCR declaration also each of my family although we have received vaccination for the Covid 19 Virus.
Surely this in itself proves we dont have the Virus and should be taken into account by Greece Health Authority on arrival and would encourage Tourism in the Country’s interest.?
Each time you visit Greece, or any other country, of course it’s needed as the virus needs 3 – 5 days to be transfered from one person to another. So nobody knows if you are negative/or positive on each visit. What’s your problem…… In other coutries it’s more strict and rightfully so…..
My problem is that having had the Virus Vaccination according to the Scientific Oppinion this prevents the spread of infection. In the interest of promoting tourism in Greece my point was that families found the cost of PCR’s prohibitive resulting in them not visiting Greece.

We always get the negative news in Greece because for the 43 years that I am living here, everything is in the open so I dont think it needs press. On the other hand, what happens negatively in Europe is always brushed under the carpet. So let;s publish all the positive situations in Greece.
