Greece’s health authorities announced on Thursday evening, 599 new coronavirus cases and another 33 deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of Covid-19 patients intubated in hospitals across the country stands at 328.
Death toll has reached 5,387 and the total cases stand at 147,283.
Greece shows an improved picture in relation to new cases, but there are still areas with outbreaks causing concern to health authorities. Several regions and municipalities across the country have been placed in tougher lockdown restrictions.
Attica keeps leading the list of regions with infections and some suburb of Athens have been identified as having a lot of cases.
According several media, including state broadcaster ERT, these municipalities are: center of Athens, Vyronas, Galatsi, Dafni, Zografou, Ilioypoli, Kaisariani and Nea Filadelfia

According to the official daily bulletin on Thursday, 5682(3.9%) of the total coronavirus cases are related to travel abroad and 44815 (30.4%) are related to already known infection case.
The remaining infections are without known source.
52.1% of the infected are men.
The number of intubated patients in ICUs stands at 328 from 340 a day earlier. Their average age is 68, among them are 227(69.2%) men. 88.1% have underlying health problems or are aged over 70.
1,006 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
Another 33 deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 5387. Of the deceased 3183 (59.1%) were men. The average age of the deceased was 79 and 95.4% of them had an underlying condition or/and was over 70 years old.
Rolling weekly average cases at 649 from 561 last week.
