Greece’s health authorities announced on Wednesday, 516 new coronavirus cases and 27 more deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of Covid-19 patients intubated in hospitals across the country decreased to 300.
Death toll has reached 5,545 and the total cases stand at 149,973.
The live briefing with the Health Minister has been postponed to Thursday as it would coincide with the live reporting from #InaugurationDay in the USA.

According to the official daily bulletin on Wednesday, 5805(3.9%) of the total coronavirus cases are related to travel abroad and 46011 (63.7%) are related to already known infection case.
The remaining infections are without known source.
52.1% of the infected are men.
The number of intubated patients in ICUs stands at 300 from 320 a day earlier. Their average age is 68, among them are 213(71%) men. 86.9% have underlying health problems or are aged over 70.
1,044 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
Another 27 deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 5545. Of the deceased 3271(59.0%) were men. The average age of the deceased was 79 and 95.4% of them had an underlying condition or/and was over 70 years old.
