A group of some 4 to 5 people vandalized the offices of Action24 sports TV station on Monday evening, police reported. They threw paint and stones at the entrance and damaged the glass front.
They also threw printed flyers in solidarity to convicted “17. November” terrorist Dimitris Koufontinas currently in the ICU of Lamia hospital after over 42 days on hunger strike.
According to police, one person has been detained.
Ruling party and opposition parties condemned the attack.
Deputy Prime Minister Theodoros Livanios condemned the attack with a post on Twitter: “Every attack against news media is an attack against Democracy”.
