Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced on Thursday that “vaccinations have reached 1,000,000” proudly adding that “we are building a wall of immunity that will allow us to leave behind this ordeal.”
In a video message broadcast by all TV stations, Mitsotakis said that the vaccination “process is going ahead in an organized and faster manner than in most European countries.”
“Today, we will exceed the symbolic number of 1,000,000 doses, which means that every week that passes, we are building the wall of immunity that will allow us to leave behind this ordeal. From April, in fact, we will have many more doses at our disposal. And as the weather improves, it will become our ally.”
Worth noting that according to official data on March 3, a total of 991,409 people have received vaccination. Of them, 643,2918 have received only the 1st dose and just 348,191 also the 2nd dose in a country with a population of 10 million.
Mitsotakis added that “Covid-19, like all respiratory viruses, has a strong seasonality. Therefore, we are at the beginning of the end. And this is not a figure of speech. But it remains a crucial bet for everyone.”
At the same time, he spoke about “worrying news,” the virus “mutations, and especially the British one, which is now predominant in our country, are highly contagious. That is why, lately, we are seeing an increase in cases and the National Health System under siege.”

So why this morning , without being told , do we find that in our “green area” supermarkets are no longer selling non consumable items and other shops are click and collect ? why weren’t we told ?
because there are no more “green areas”
A big total lie. Only 350.000 have received both doses. Even with that, no one is certain how much time will it take to build up Antibodies, since it’s an active serum dosage. Not to mention if it will work. So go tell Mitsotakis to set aside that crap.
In the UK 21 million people have been vaccinated. Only 1 million of them have received the second dose because the UK decided to delay the second dose to 12 weeks. There is now tons of highly accurate medical evidence collected by studying those 21 million that a first dose is effective in suppressing the risk of catching the virus, around 67 % reduction in positive results in the vaccinated group, and even better at suppressing serious symptoms, over 90 % reduction. For a vaccine that is a phenomenally good result.
