Greece’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) extended on Tuesday the air directives (notams) for travelerss arriving to the country from abroad as well as for domestic flight passengers to the Greke islands. The directives are extended with the purpose of containing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The directives have been extended until Monday, June 21, 2021, at 6 a.m.
The rules are the following:
Travel to Greece without the need to quarantine on arrival is permitted only for passengers from the European Union and the Schengen area. In addition, travelelers form the following non-EU countries are also exempted form the quarantine:
Australia, Bahrain, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Canada, China, Israel, Kuwait, Montenegro, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Qatar Russia, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America.
All travelers coming into Greece must submit a Passenger Location Form(PLF) to https://travel.gov.gr a day before their arrival and have one of the three following (Covid-19) documents:
an official vaccination certificate, stating that 14 days have passed since full vaccination for Covid-19
or a negative PCR test (in Greek, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or Russian) performed less than 72 hours before arrival
or a recovery certificate (in Greek, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or Russian) stating that the person in question has recovered from the coronavirus in the past nine months.
The documents are necessary for all passengers over 6 years old.
At arriving airports, random rapid tests are carried out. IF test positive, the passengers is obliged to 10-day quarantine. If the passenger is vaccinated, the quarantine is set for 7 days. To exit the quarantine a PCR test is necessary on the last day.
