Turkish media claim on Sunday that a Turkish citizen was shot dead by patrolling Greeks along the Evros border. Greece dismisses the claims speaking of a case of human trafficking and a clash between those involved.
Some to the Turkish media claim the 43-year-old man was shot by “patrolling Greek soldiers” and some other by “Greek men in civilian clothes.”
The incident took place near the village of Adasarhanli by Edirne on Saturday evening when the victim M.D. went with a 50-year old friend to pick up their boats from an islet on the Evros river. The boats were used by migrants to illegally cross into Greece. “There was an argument between the Turkish men with some Greeks in civilian clothes, and M.S. died on the spot after a bullet hit him on the face,” reports Turkish newspaper yenicaggazetesi. His friend rushed to the village to get help, the daily adds.
Another newspaper claims that the bullet came from Greek soldiers patrolling in the area.
Sources of Greek authorities have dismissed the claims saying that no shooting was fired from the Greek side, report media in the country.
Greeks allege that the two men were traffickers and that the one shot the other during an argument.
This is the Turk’s typical mode of operation. They even bombed their own mosques and then tried to blame it on Greeks. Their constant provocations should deeply repulse every democratic, freedom loving, nation on earth.

It is stupid people who threaten peace, ignoring international laws. Imagine trying to steal resources or crash another’s border, with constandt belicose bravado of nationalism against Greece dare it legally extend its international waters, etc., it is so endless… This is neither peace loving nor intelligent mt friend so give us a break. Turks trolling Greek media is nothing new as many know. So give us a break than display such a living example of the hypocricy for support in your TYPICAL misleading. It is not the Greeks pressing for war so stupidly but you can be sure that if anyone starts one, they will surely end it.
