Greece’s health authorities announced on Saturday 1,885 coronavirus cases and 17 deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of Covid-patients intubated in hospitals ICU has increased to 204.
With this and that – that is the fires that keep busy the Civil Protection – and despite the thousands of fewer tests due to the weekend, the coronavirus situation seems kind of alarming in several regions.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 514,192 infections (daily change: +0.4 pct). Of the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 130 infections are related to travel from abroad and 2,430 to other confirmed cases.
17 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of pandemic victims to 13,075. Of these, 95.2% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.
A total of 204 patients are on ventilators in hospitals, from 198 in the last two days. Their median age is 65 years and 82.4% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
2,842 have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
209 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: +0.0%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 190.
The median age of new infections is 40 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 78 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
