Greece’s health authorities announced on Friday 2,729 new coronavirus cases and 35 Covid-related deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospital Intensive Care Units increased further to 364.
Authorities imposed on Friday a mini lockdown to the island of Ikaria, the regional units of Achaia and Ilia in Peloponnese and extended restrictions in Heraklio and Messinia. More details here.
A public prosecutor investigates the death of a 54-year-old anti-vaxxer infected with Covid-19 who refused intubation while in the ICU of a big hospital in Athens. Ultimately the doctors obtained an order by a prosecutor to intervene, the woman was intubated, however, she died.

There are 35 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, the total of pandemic victims to 13,812. Of these, 95.3% had an underlying condition and/or were 70 years old.

A total of 364 Covid-patients – from 362 a day earlier – are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 65 years. 60.2% are men. 84.9% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or more.

36 (9.89%) are fully vaccinated
