A four-month-old baby infected with Covid-19 and treated at the Ippokratio Hospital in Thessaloniki had to be intubated on Monday morning
According to state broadcaster ERT, the baby was transported from Komotini Hospital, eastern Greece, to Thessaloniki on Saturday morning with respiratory problems and a respiratory infection.
For about 48 hours, the baby was hospitalized in the Infection Unit of Ippokratio, however, its intubation was deemed necessary, as its health condition deteriorated.
According to hospital sources, the baby is in the Children’s ICU.
The child’s parents are unvaccinated and also infected with Covid-19 with milder symptoms, media reported.
