Greece: 27,766 coronavirus cases, 85 deaths, 654 intubations; distribution

Greece’s health authorities announced on Monday, 27,755 coronavirus cases and 85 covid-related deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals increased further to 654.

It looks as if the positive test results of over 15,000 students and teachers on Sunday evening and Monday morning were not incorporated into EODY data on Monday as positive self-tests have yet to be confirmed either with a Rapid or a PCR test.

 Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 1,535,382 infections (daily change +1.8%). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 610 infections are related to travel from abroad and 1,727 to other confirmed cases.

Rolling average 34,371 from 30,073 last week.

85 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, brought the total of pandemic victims to 21,479. Of these, 95.1% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.

654 patients are on ventilators in hospitals, from 642 a day earlier. Their median age is 64 years and 57.6% are men. 80.6% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.

Of the total in intubation, 545 (83.33%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 109 (16.67%) are fully vaccinated.

3,828 Covid-patients have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.

536 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: -15.19%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 570..

The median age of new infections is 36 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 78 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
