Greece’s health authorities announced on Tuesday 17,409 coronavirus cases and 98 deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals decreased to 653.

Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed 1,830,263* infections (daily change: +1%). In the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 401 infections are related to travel from abroad and 1,750 to other confirmed cases.
*450 infection cases confirmed in the previous days were added on EODY data on Tuesday.

98 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, brought the total of pandemic victims to 22,852*. Of these, 95% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.

A total of 653 Covid-patients are on ventilators in hospitals from 655 a day earlier. Their median age is 66 years and 59.3% are men. 83% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total in intubation, 525(80,4%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 128 (19.6%) are fully vaccinated.
3,986 have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
432 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: -7.1%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 484.
The median age of new infections is 35 years (range: 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of the deceased is 78 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
