Trains on the Athens metro Line 3 (blue line) going to the Athens International Airport will be delayed by 6 minutes over the next few days starting on Tuesday, due to tests for the new line extension toward Piraeus.
Thus, trains running directly from Nikea to the Airport will run every 36 minutes instead of the current 30.
In the reverse direction, passengers will disembark at Nikea and the empty trains will be test run to the new “Dimotiko Theatro” (Municipal Theater) stop.
The extension includes a total of three new stations, “Maniatika”, “Piraeus”, and “Dimotiko Theatro”. Details on schedules are available on the www.stasy.gr site.
