Three dead after elderly drives wrong on Athens highway

An elderly woman, her co-passenger and a motorcyclist died on Monday, when the woman entered the Athens-Corinth highway in the wrong direction.

According to local media korinthostv, a car driven by an elderly woman entered the National Highway in the direction of Korinthos and collided with a motorcycle.

The traffic accident occurred at the height of Megara, at the  37th km of the new Athens-Corinth National highway.

The 83-year-old woman and the motorcyclist died on the sport. Her co-passenger was heavily injured and rushed to hospital, but he died too, a couple of hours later.

Traffic was disrupted in the area of the accident.
