Civil Aviation Covid-notam for flight passengers China-Greece

Air passengers from China will need a negative Covid-19 test, a PCR or a rapid test, Greece’s Civil Aviation Authority announced in a air directive (notam) issued late on Monday.

The measure refers to all passengers on direct flights from China to Greece regardless of their nationality.

All travelers from China must have been tested negative via molecular PCR test in the last 48 hours or alternatively to have been diagnosed negative in a rapid test 24 hours before boarding on a flight to Greece.

All travelers from China are required to wear a high respiratory protection mask (FFP2 or N95 or KN95) both during the flight and during their stay at the airport.

The measures for entry into Greece concerning travelers from China apply to minors (children) from five (5) years of age and older.

The airlines are obliged to check the traveler before boarding, to confirm that he has the necessary documents and in case of violation, they have the obligation to repatriate the passenger at their own expense and responsibility.

The above necessary entry documents (negative test results) are shown by the travelers upon their arrival in Greece and to the personnel of the Hellenic Police, if requested, for a check of validity and completeness.

The measure is on effect from January 15, 2023 and will be valid until Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 06:00 in the morning.
