Greece’s Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias went to a hospital emergencies after an extensive meeting with his U.S. counterpart Antony Blinken and joint statements on Tuesday morning.
Dendias has symptoms of a severe cold and after the meeting with Blinken he was in a private clinic in Athens where he underwent tests and was given medication, media report Tuesday afternoon.
The Greek FM was tested negative for Covid-19 and return to his home.
According to journalists present at the Dendias-Blinken joint statements earlier today, both foreign ministers looked not well with a soar throat.
Mega TV reports that the 63-year-old FM returned from Brussels last night with a heavy cold and high fever and that’s why he couldn’t attend the official dinner.
Media attribute Dendias’ sickness to the recent constant trips abroad.
It is recalled that he suffered a fainting incident end of December while he was visiting Mount Athos and was transferred with a helicopter to Athens.
