With special events and free entrance, the Acropolis Museum will celebrate the annual European Night of Museums on Saturday, May 13, and the International Museum Day on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
On Saturday, the museum will extend its closing time by 4 hours to 12 midnight (09:00-00:00), while entry will be free from 8 p.m. onward, and the museum’s restaurant will stay open accordingly.
Like every Saturday during morning hours, visitors will be able to participate in the gallery talk “Saturday in the Museum with 20+1 masterpieces”. An outstanding walk in the Museum’s exhibition areas, where myths and fables, folklores and traditions, historical milestones and human stories transform into art and weave a vivid experience.

Οn May 18, visitors can be admitted free of charge during the regular opening hours between 09:00 until 20:00.
This year the focus is on “Museums, Sustainability & Well-being’ and emphasizes the role of museums as spaces where children can be entertained, be creative and socialize. In this context, special activities for kids are available on the day.
