The bodies of five people have been recovered from a boat carrying migrants that capsized near Mykonos last Friday, while the body of one woman was washed ashore of the island of Antiparos.
A special divers unit on Tuesday recovered the dead bodies of four women and a man from the boat that sank to a depth of 30m on Friday, May 26 northeast of the island of Mykonos.
The bodies were picked up by a coast guard patrol vessel and taken to Kalafati bay and from there to the Health Centro of Mykonos.
Earlier on Tuesday, the body of woman who was also passenger on the same migrant boat was found washed up on a rocky shore on the island of Antiparos.
The body was recognized by two survivors of the shipwreck.
The latest discovery raises the confirmed death toll from the accident to nine (seven women and two men).
The two survivors rescued by Greek authorities told coast guard officers that there were 17 people on the sunken speedboat, including at least four to five women and a seven-year-old girl.
The Coast Guard is continuing the search operation to locate the missing passengers.
