Winter sales in Greece kick off on Monday, January 8, 2024, and will last until the last day of February.
Within the winter sales framework, retail stores will remain open also on Sundays, January 14 and January 21, 2024.
Consumers should check the percentage rates of the sales that have also to be added on the items tags.
According to retail sector representatives, after a relatively satisfactory Christmas period, the winter sales are expected to give a new impetus to the market.
Turnover in the first two months of 2024 is expected to exceed the approximately 6 billion euros of the corresponding period last year.
The Ministry of Development underlined that inspections in the markets will be strict and constant.
